Located Egliseneuve Entraigues (63850) Museum of AOP offers (re)discover the Auvergne cheeses.

Housed in an old renovated barn just below the old fairground, Museum of AOP over his visit will deliver the secrets of Fourme d'Ambert, Bleu d'Auvergne, Cantal, Salers and course of Saint-Nectaire.

Free and free visit. Depending on the number of visitors on the exhibition duration of the visit may vary, but expect a little more than half an hour for a full tour.

An exhibition where you will find : A little reading with many explanatory panels, illustrations and photographs. Discoveries with the traditional tools needed for production : Presses, moules… Spaces dedicated to children, play panels with Meuhlissa cow and flowering meadows and table drawing / coloring.

To illustrate all attend all 15 minutes in a film directed by the Association d'Auvergne cheese which will explain the process and the specifics of each cheese.

End of the visit a small tasting of different AOP is offered. Here you can taste all : Saint Nectaire Farmer, Cantal, Salers for pressed uncooked pasta and Fourme d'Ambert, Bleu d'Auvergne for veined.
If you want to buy one of these cheeses on site is only Friday afternoon. Other days of the week to make your shopping AOP, do not hesitate to go directly to one of the farms near.

The fun workshops

L’atelier olfactif : The 12, 19 et 26 July 2013 and 9,11 et 23 august 2013 appointment to 15h. An hour and educate your smell like cheese and otherwise perceive different fragrances PDO. The animation is paid upon reservation. 3,6€ par adult, free for children under 12 years and € 3 for club members Sancy.
The workshop for children (4-12 ans): Of 12 July 23 August appointment Friday afternoon for a discovery workshop. The animation lasts 45 minutes, free simply register by phone (0473719265). A fun activity for children and their parents.

The Tourist Office

How to come ?

If you come from Saint Nectaire, take the direction of Super-Besse, at roundabout continue straight Lac Pavin. You towards the Cantal (Condat and Feniers) and you get to Egliseneuve Entraigues. Enter the village and go to the center of town, just after the bar-tabac take the first right will take a small street Square Foirail, your parking place. You have reached your destination.

Through building with two entrances, the bottom via the Market Square or via the top instead of Foirail.
